Our course is a 9 out, 9 back course which means that you can't easily play just 9. There is the option to jump across from the 6th green to the 13th tee but that's not on if the the course is busy.
In terms of time of rounds, 4 hours is a long round at our course when we play (Saturday afternoon) but competition rounds can take between 4 and 5 hours but the later you tee off in a comp the longer it will be as it backs up.
