Ryder Cup 2025 - only for highly skilled golfers this time

True. Although might be fun if we all predict the team of 12 before any majors have happened, then check back in September and see who got the most right. 😛
If it's as accurate as the football prediction..................I might scrape 2 correct answers :ROFLMAO:

Golf is so much harder to predict than football. A team can cope with a player going through a poor spell, they either carry them or drop them. In golf, you are horribly exposed if your form drops off a cliff, hello Viktor

Can only think back to when Willet won the Masters which got him into the Team and then his form fell off and was horrific

We are so far away from this being relevant, it's barely worth considering. The whole season is ahead, all sorts could happen between now and then.

I like a bit of speculation but this is stretching it.
It wont change much. It rarely does. Fitzpatrick is the interesting one at risk that one might have considered secure. Its the last 3 places that are to play for, and there are interesting candidates for it.

I don’t expect Fitzpatrick to get himself back up unless something dramatic happens

Hovland is the one that really needs a big season

Think looking at the current players around then the ones we know will go are

Rory
Fleetwood
Abery
Lowry
R Hojgaard

Then I think Hatton will prob get enough points to qualify

Then it’s down to the picks

McIntyre
Strakka

Those two unless something dramatic happens will get in

Then it’s all down to form for

Rahm
Canter
N Hojgaard
Wallace
Parry
Rose
Hovland

Think Donald is going to be very heavy on experience for the away fixture

Rose I see going
Rahm will definitely be there!

Be interesting to see how Puig does this year, he’s had some good finishes in non LIV events as well as making steady progress on LIV itself.
Don’t think he’ll come into the reckoning for this year but he will in future events. Mc Kibbin coukd very well be the same. Some great young European players coming through the ranks across the tours.

Anyone like McKibbin or Puig who isn’t playing full time on the European tour and has no access to majors will get nowhere near qualifying

It will be near impossible to gain the amount of required points and they won’t get a pick
