Ryder Cup 2025 - All matters

For €500 I’d rather stay home and watch full coverage. Like I said the single best event I’ve ever been to, but at those prices I won’t ever be going again.

I think @Mel Smooth has hit the nail on the head people will pay for the privilege. So so a much as we don’t see it s value, there will no doubt be sell out crowds nd I’d imagine the corporate ticket buyers will put a load in the coffers as well.

Contrast in ticket prices, the PGA at Wentworth are on general sale £50 Thursday-Friday, £80 at weekend

There literally is something for everyone if you want to watch pro golf in this country. We're quite fortunate here in comparison to many other parts of the world of course.

I agree there’s a lot on offer just a shame we have less than we used to with some of the old classic events. I’m lucky we’ve got free tickets for the full week at Wentworth as Mrs M company do some of the onsite hospitality for them and but it only be 19miles door to door I’d also be silly not to go if I had to pay £50.

I'm living about 90 mins from Adare.
If I do go it'll be for a practice day on the Tuesday or Wednesday at €89 , good opportunity to see the players in a more relaxed situation, and still an opportunity to get a feeling for the occasion.
Just couldn't bring myself to pay €499 for one of the tournament days. I'd prefer buy myself a few new bits of gear. Biggest problem I see with being a spectator at Ryder Cup is trying to get a decent view of the action. Because unlike a regular tournament you have a limited number of players on the course at any one time so the crowd is all congregated in one part of the course.

I can’t speak for what Adare manor will be like, but at Le Golf National this was never an issue. The course set up meant you could position yourself to see 2 or 3 holes at once, crowds flowed really well and I was always able to see the groups I wanted, plus on some holes you’d be watching players walking to the green whilst watching other matches on the massive screens that doubled as score boards. In general there was no restricted views and you got to see all of the golf.

Perhaps that’s why the RC now lends itself better to stadium style courses rather than traditional venues.

The general opinion around locally would be that Adare won't be the easiest from a viewing point of view. Not many spots around the course where you can position yourself to take in a couple of holes at once.
