Ryder Cup 2025 - All matters

Great afternoon of golf if you’re a European fan, hopefully more this evening. I suspect the fans will be out of control if it continues going the same way.

Scheffler + DeChambeau feels like a last roll of the dice.
No Hojgaard, Donald being ruthless
I listened to the end of the last match via BBC radio, they had an American journalist on there and his view was that pairing is exactly that! He was not very complimentary about Bradley!

Extremely ruthless and good leadership. He wants to win so why mess about, as harsh as it sounds. I imagine he’ll be out last tomorrow too.

Just seen the incident where McIlroy politely asked the gallery to pipe down during the foursomes this morning, and after his rather colourful interjection then proceeded to knock his approach stiff.

Really, if the American “golf fans” cannot see how much their behaviour is firing some of the European players up, they are bigger imbeciles than I thought.

Course playing so easy that everyone is flinging darts in at the pins at the moment. Can't believe how soft the fairway is too, when they're hitting drives that pitch and stop one foot away.

“I don’t mind them having a go at us, that’s to be expected,” he said after winning his foursomes. “I mean, that’s what an away Ryder Cup is. In between shots, say whatever you want to me. That’s totally fine. But just give us the respect, let us hit shots, and give us the same chance that the Americans have.” Fans have taken to shouting “miss it” or “it’s downhill” or “you missed this one yesterday” (and similar) as Europeans address the ball. The galleries have also collectively counted out loud as Europeans set themselves. It will be interesting to see if this becomes a little more intense if this afternoon goes on.

To me, its a characterless course, set up the way Bradley wanted. Bomb drive and gouge. No class or quality.

Which is odd given that, on average, I understand Europe are statistically the longer hitters. Just another example of slightly odd captaincy.

Is it just me or does Wayne Riley seem to just guess club selection that is clearly not right?
He had guys hitting 6 irons 170 yards yesterday
No, he often gets a little sign from the caddies.

Those 6 irons going 170 were uphill , into the wind and later in the day when it was cooler.

So if Hovland can't play tomorrow (no current reason to suspect he won't) thtm they put 12 US names in an envelope, pick one and that person sits it out and they half the match.
