Ryder Cup 2025 - All matters

That is bonkers that from 132 possible pairings, best statistically Morikawa English are 132 of 132
Yeh, the ‘no laying up’ clan were kicking off about it when the pairing was announced and again when reviewing yesterday’s golf. As much as I hate stats (especially that utterly ridiculous expected goals in football), they do often tell the story.

Still, I’m not counting my chickens, hell of a lot of golf to be played, and sometimes stats go straight out the window.

On the under performers of ours yesterday, I did see glimmers/good holes from Lowry and strakka, they just didn’t get fully going. Did we even see much of Rasmus? I don’t recall seeing many of his shots. But I agree with others who have said he’ll probably get another go with a strong partner.

Not surprised to see Vik and Bob out again. Despite losing and looking average for a large chunk of their match, they were similar superb for the rest of it, battling well and showing a lot of guts.

I think today we will probably see some unhinged scenes, especially towards the latter stages of the fourballs. If America have a good day it'll be mental out there and if they're taking a pasting it could turn ugly.

He is really trying to use BDC as the man for them to all look up to , the man for the team to follow

And IMO he isn’t that man , even in his interviews it was all about the “I” and not the “we”

A lot was made about that Chambelle comments about BDC more interested in followers etc and it’s not far from the truth

All the others are all about the “We” - he isn’t - that’s just his mentality and for a captain to try and use him as the on field general is all wrong imo

His performance and demeanour at Whistling Straits in ‘21 begs to differ

Do we think Rahm and/or Rory might be given the afternoon off?

I wonder if they have a tough/long game this morning Luke may rest them to make sure they are on it for the singles especially if we have a good lead.

Not a chance, they both play this afternoon.

Hopefully no lines are crossed by the crowd today, one thing about golf normally is the respect the crowd has even if their favorite player is getting beat so to speak.
But the Ryder Cup does seem to bring out some morons.

Only if we're 5 up or something.

Can’t see it, chance to pretty much put the game to bed so the big guns will be out, Rahm in particular the way he’s been

I know I watched it but I may have had a dodgy beer last night as can’t seem to remember a lot.
On the bright side I watched the highlights this morning and got to experience it all again. 😂

Rahm looked good from what I remember/this morning

I do love Ewan Murray's insistence on saying 'all square' instead of tied. 😁
😃
It's only going one way though...

Iona - "put his foot on the gas"
Faldo - "giving it some body English"
John Murray (5 live) - "landed from high and made a divot on the green"

# exact quotes may differ 😉

Is it just me or does Wayne Riley seem to just guess club selection that is clearly not right?
He had guys hitting 6 irons 170 yards yesterday
