I was having this chat with my son just before. European players are now taught as juniors to hit it as hard as they can, it's all about swing speed. Same as the Americans.

If they are any good, not even scary good, they are off to an American college at 18, playing the same courses as.......... Americans.

The days of there being major differences between the players are over now. You only have to see the likes of Hovland, Ajberg, Hojgaard etc to see that.

Strange how the Ryder cup makes scheffler look fairly average at times. Granted Tiger was similar enough in that regard too.

Coverage is fine and they’ve sorted the sound issues.

Hovland/Macintyre is a slightly odd pairing and they’ve not got going.

Whatever happens in that last match this is a new record for opening foursomes for team Europe in an away match.

On average Europe are longer by a couple of yards.

Henley is the shortest off the tee at 289 yards so he's going to be leaving Scottie an extra 20 yards or so extra on each approach shot.

Scheffler averages 308 yards

As I thought, not sure why you'd handicap the world's best player by giving him a 20 yard handicap off the tee. I'd like to know what stats they were looking at for that pairing.

I think Bradley’s played this one on ego thinking Scottie’s irons and Wedge play would make up for Henley’s lack of distance in this format, but he got it sooo wrong.

I'd imagine they were thinking Henley hits fairways and Scheffler hits greens even if he's further out. But Henley didn't hit the fairways and Scheffler didn't turn up.

Yeah - not just winning them but dominating in three is a massive statement.

Fitzpatrick as well - probably the pick most people questioned and he played amazingly well today.
