Ryder Cup 2025 - All matters

Small thing, thought the 1st tee announcer did a decent job in highly charged setting.

Laura- " think this will be a close match", thanks for that expert insight 😉😁

Looking at the course set up I reckon I would find it easier from the rough than the fairway.

Going to be a lot of birdies especially in four balls.

Everytime the commentators say it’s a really tough shot the player knocks it to a gimmee, it’s like what they are talking about is different to what my eyes are seeing
Even with a club length lift clean and place in the fairway? Honestly, can’t get my head around that rule. 6 inches yes, we don’t want players penalised with a mud ball after hitting a great shot, but a driver is nearly 4 feet!

Last time Scheffler played Aberg was 9&7? And now getting battered again…

Rahm definitely stood on the stick and the ball moved there 🙈🙈🙈
As long as it only Oscillated then it doesn’t matter, only matters if the balls resting position actually changed and that can’t be proven from the footage seen.

As a hater of build ups and after-play disections I'm glad it's almost time to start...
The inane chat in the days before an event like this leave me ice cold...I know some, maybe most, like it but......
Get on with the action..... 👍

It’s so bad, a week that feels about a year of the same boring chat, then that ceremony, wife’s all over tv, oh god they’re wearing white trainers, they’re not wearing ties blah blah blah.

Just hurry up and get the golf underway

Yeah or I would end up spinning them all off the front of the green.
You ain’t seen me thin a wedge 😂

I can’t believe how quiet it is.
Maybe let the fans have a few beers.

Hindsight is wonderful, however the course seems so European so massively favouring us.
USA pairings also a little baffling.

Wonder if there is some odd sound issues. It almost sounds like there’s no one out on the course. 1st tee was rowdy but nothing out of the ordinary, but you could hear a pin drop for the rest of the front 9.

Exactly my point yesterday when people were saying it’s US set up bombers course for the Yanks!

It’s the exact opposite suits no players better as they’re all used to playing US courses.

That’s a shocking putt in match play from Cantlay. Really poor. Chance to win the hole and it’s never getting there.

I was having this chat with my son just before. European players are now taught as juniors to hit it as hard as they can, it's all about swing speed. Same as the Americans.

If they are any good, not even scary good, they are off to an American college at 18, playing the same courses as.......... Americans.

Turn pro, play well, go to the PGA.............

The days of there being major differences between the players are over now. You only have to see the likes of Hovland, Ajberg, Hojgaard etc to see that.
