I mean nothing contrary about thinking motivational and self indulgent videos that do nothing but get a click bait is pointless and had absolutely zero passion in it.
I work in an environment where being motivational is massively required. But putting out videos like that for sports does nothing for me, I’d rather that was kept to the team room and we heard passion in interviews.
That video could be massively motivating for the Americans though with Europe saying it’s their time! Glad I could be boring for you

The European team have really nailed down the emotional and motivational side of the RC
It’s not patriotic etc but there is something about the way they knit together and use the spirit of past RC’s and even more so the spirit of Seve and what the RC meant to him

I do like the fact that we've got 11 players and captain unchanged from last time out as well. That has to be a massive boost in terms of taking the energy forward from that victory. Whereas the US have six changes. Albeit, they lost, so you would want to change it up a bit I suppose.

100% this, it's a massive part of sport nowadays, any sport, gets you fired up and channels your emotion in the right way.

Still don’t believe you need a video like that out for everyone to fawn over and ultimately provide further motivation for the US team. If I were Bradley that’s the first thing I’d play in the team room, “look boys the Europeans are telling the world this is their time! This is our back yard use this to fuel your pride and put them in their place!”
Like I said just my opinion though

I enjoyed it and they made it to bolster support - one more fan and all that.
Suppose we all have different views of cringy, but you can't get away from it in this day and age.

These type of videos are very much emotionally towards the players
And if you show it to the US team they would want to know how much extra they would get paid - that’s their motivation, money

Didn’t say it wasn’t different I just answer a question about what I do ! I still think it’s cringeworthy and should be kept for the team room.
Everyone’s motivation is different and the yes the yanks are getting paid but no that isn’t their only motivation for a few yes but not all. Anyway time to move on and talk about the RC itself not the cringeworthy videos

just watched it, couldn't decide between it being a trailer or an advert (I'm sure there's plenty similar being shown in NY for weeks now)
I was already motivated to watch what I can so it failed for me on that score but nice to watch in same way it is when watching teaser vid for next marvel movie

Exactly - just watched it myself, it's not 'motivation' for the Europe team, it's simply an advert for the event like you would see on Sky Sports, but obviously aimed at European viewers.
Only weird thing is, that YouTube account is simply named 'Ryder Cup' but it seems to post more European-biased stuff. Unless there's a USA 'motivational video' on there as well.
