Bookies currently pricing Euro victory at 38% chance. If you genuinely believe they are favs then should absolutely pile into that as you have at the very least a 12% edge; which is huge in gambling markets.

If Fitz has crept up there then he's the in-form man and it makes sense to pick him. Hard on Wallace but I think Rahm takes his place in that top 12 and that's our team. Same as two years ago except one Hojgaard replaces the other. I think there's a lot to be said for barely changing a winning team - with the same captain too.

Golf is such a fickle game.
In 2024, needing to adjust to differences, the mad Hatter finished a credible 4th in the standings, behind 2 Europeans.
In 2025, he's pretty much qualified for the RC in 5 tournaments!
However he's languishing in 25th in the standings behind 7 Europeans.

How well does he have to play to jump considerably from 20th in the standings? At the moment I think we're far more likely to go with the experience of Fitzpatrick.

Yep. He’s currently around 40th in FedEx. Another good week and he’s teeing up at East Lake. If that happens I’d say he’s a certainty.

If you look at his RC record, it's a valid discussion. I agree that they'll likely go Fitzpatrick but he seems to be the opposite of Poulter at the RC.

Let's be fair to him, he's played 3 RCs but the first two were away ones where we were soundly beaten as a team. And in the last one he was unlucky enough to face USA's best player in the singles. Maybe I'm making excuses for him, but I still think you pick your best in-form golfers and I wouldn't look too closely at previous RC records. Otherwise you might as well call up Garcia and Poulter until they die.
