Ryder Cup 2025 - All matters

Wonder if Bryson gets battered and loses his head again if he will tell cameras to get out of his face then skip media

He hasn’t got enough grief for this was expecting Brandel to lay into him rightly for once

It's a human sport and can't be helped. I'd prefer to see a reserve player - one/two for each team, to cover sickness and injury
Interesting idea. I just think in any other format of golf, when a player withdraws through injury then that's it. They don't receive prize money. And what's more weird is that if Hovland tried to play but gave up after a hole because it wasn't possible to continue, then he would lose his match.

I feel sorry for Hovland and English too. It must suck not getting to play in such a big event.

Yeah. I guess when there is little danger, you can just wind up and snash it, as if you are at the range.

Make the rough knee high to the right of green, within 50 yards of it, you may be a bit more cautious, or take the gamble
Same for them all.
Bryson has been impressive on the first tee tho imo.

Not that it’s done him much good 😉

What a great 1st hole from Fitzpatrick. I remember a bit of needle between Fitzpatrick and Bryson a few years ago, when Bryson went into cry baby mode when Matt gave his opinion on his bodybuilding approach to golf

Our players are just so good at the minute. I do think it will be a putting competition today and the first few out are just excellent.

Tommy's approach shots are just sublime.

In defence of the American fans.

I actually thought it would be worse than it was. Yes things got heated and abuse hurled but the Ryder Cup has transcended golf. A lot of people go or watch who wouldn't normally watch a golf event. I believe there was only one report of physical violence between fans.

I've got no problem with singing, booing or even abuse as long as it's not during the backswing or directed at family members. We don't want a watered down event.

I can guarentee there was 100 times the amount of trouble and arrests at football games yesterday in England alone, than over the whole Ryder Cup. So it's bordering on laughable to put this down to a culture issue.
