Ryder Cup 2025 - All matters

You're that confident that the only thing to discuss is the margin of victory? 😂

I think it's a moot point, if we win at all on US soil it will be a close one. Would love us to do a whitewash on the first day foursomes though to give us a lead early doors.
Ok @irip - I am willing to hold me hands up on this one. When I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

But how many times have we heard the Ryder Cup is all about momentum? We front loaded in 2012, put lots of blue on the board early, and the rest is history.

I’d do the same again to snuff out any lingering American hopes early.
But we only need 3 points and their "big guns" only amount to about two players on current form. 😂

For anyone with a little faith, and just a little golfing knowledge, this tourney has been a license to print money. All 4 sessions won by Europe. 3/1, 13/8, 6/4 and, remarkably, 6/4 in the Saturday fourballs. Enough won to cover the next holiday, and that is not counting lumping on Europe to win outright at 11/8. Well done, chaps.

USA have lost Mickelson, DJ, Koepka, Speith over the last few years. Replaced by the likes of English, burns and spaun.
Europe haven't really lost anybody but have some great up and coming talents.
Can see 2027 being an even bigger win
I marginally disagree here. Burns and Spaun are World Class, as is Young. Lowry surely not good enough next time, Mc|Ilroy a bit older, and Rose probably non playing Captain. I would watch the form over the next couple of years before investing anything in bets.

To be fair it was more a question on whether people would prefer a tight match that we squeaked through to win late with all the drama and emotion that goes with it or would prefer it has gone this way were it’s all over bar the shouting.

I wish it was a prediction 😂

Grim reading. Rory definitely looked to be affected by it yesterday, which is no surprise.

It’s really disappointing that ‘the authorities’ didn’t do more to prevent it in the first place, and then act when it started to get like this. God I hope he shoves it up them today.
Unfortunately it is going to overshadow what is probably our best ever Ryder cup performance.
It should be all about what a fantastic job all the team have done but it will be remembered by the fans behaviour.

Fascinating watching JT whipping up the crowd when he holes a putt then have to waste more energy calming them down so that the Europeans can putt
At the conclusion of the match it is reported that he further apologised to Rory and Shane for the crowd’s behaviour which in no small part he did his best to stoke up
He really needs to think a bit more

An observation on the crowd behaviour, surely the crowd are behaving exactly as the PGA wanted when they chose Bethpage? We were told New Yorkers were loud and brash, we were told the atmosphere would be hostile. The crowd have given them all of that. Pretending this is a surprise or they didn't see it coming, I'm not buying that.

I don't condone the behaviour, it's shaming for the US but it is 100% not surprising.

What is disappointing, there was some phenomenal golf yesterday afternoon in particular and that is getting slightly overlooked. It was nip and tuck throughout, the US did not roll over. There were huge displays on both sides.

I still can't blame JT for getting hyped up when he wins a hole. It is what the Ryder is about. You could just as easily say the Europeans are winding up the crowds when they celebrate a win.

There is no way JT was trying to goad the crowds into abusing the Euroeans. If anything, he was probably trying to fuel them up to celebrate US success rather than European failure? I bet he wishes he was European, so he could experience proper support and a team bond.

It also seems like Rory and Shane had full respect for JT after the round, and he to them. Unlike brat Bryson and his crybaby antics against the extremely volatile and nasty Rose and Fleetwood

Down to interpretation, but to me he was trying to have crowd be noisy at the appropriate times. Vociferous support to & from the greens is part of RC.

Would be happy with most of those singles match ups from a European viewpoint. If things fall well the required points could be wrapped up very early
