I thought that was actually our best game for tackling all 6 Nations. Genge was stupid, but his overall game and ferocity was excellent. The ref was another inconsistant. Ignored a French neck roll, very quick advantage to us that was in the run up to a French try and carded us quicker than the French considering the number of pens against us compared to the French.
Van Portfleet was the huge reason they scored at the end. Kicking away possession when youre in the 22 with a man advantage straight to their speedsters was the ultimate reason we lost. Hold onto the ball and grind your way out, and we win.

Agree. The penalty advantage over was a standout. We'd gained about 5 yards in 20 seconds. Almost as if he got confused and treated it like a free kick advantage. The yellow and penalty try incident was so similar to the French doing the same earlier in the half. Frustrating as, but for that, I'd have at least felt we'd finally turned up and gave some pride. Instead I felt robbed!

We should have seen the game out after the turnover though. Pollock was a pillock.

Pollock lost the ball as he was tackled and trying to offload to the man outside him. I don't really like his pantomime antics, but it can't be denied he is a talent, raw, but still a talent.
I agree on how i/we felt at the end, robbed for sure.
I just hope that they see the need to retire certain players and start to pick players on how they want to play and what gets the results. No one can doubt that playing with the attacking speed we did gave us a great performance.
As good as Ford has been, his time is run for me.
