Well its the R&A's bat, ball and wicket - if they say <u>you can only use them under certain circumstances </u> then that's that. They're able to outlaw certain clubs and even ways of playing a shot - it would be the end of the R&A if someone took up the case and won - they wouldn't be able to make any rules again.

if only they had said that. they truly got the wicket fence well jammed in and said you could if you wanted to but only if the individual clubs said you could.

you will not get more info from one than a pro gets from a caddy, no-one is going to un-invent them so get on with it!
