IMO Rory should let his golf do the talking,he does not need to reply.
Townsend imo has every right to comment,because he is a commentator,and to be honest he is probably right especially on the Tee shot that went in the bunker.

Yes Townsend has every right to comment but I'm not sure how professional it is for him to take in on to Twitter.

Complete and utter non-story if you ask me. Saying that Rory's course management was off would've sufficed, but questioning his caddy probably went a little too far especially when you're proposing replacements. It wasn't as if it was a heated exchange, Rory merely told him to shut up.

How many people had heard of Jay Townsend before this incident? I follow golf a fair bit in the media and hadn't and as an oldie can't even recall him as a player.
will anybody have a go at Mark Roe on sky soon? hopefully

I met him at Muirfield in 2002 when he was part of 5 live team, no idea of his background though
