Rory McIlroy to play on the Challenge Tour

Apparently, Rory is playing in the Egyptian Open this week.

This is a challenge tour event, so the question is will he win?

Why he is doing it I don't know! It isn't as if he is a Harrington case and needs a win to boost his confidence!

I was going to say yes, in theory, he should be head and shoulders above the competition. However, because he has the expectation that he'll win perhaps it'll put some pressure on him and he might not be at the races. I don't think it's as clear cut as it first seems.

And, yes, my ar$e is killing me from sitting on this fence

I wouldn't say he has a better chance than anyone else. The guys on the challenge tour regularly go low. I'd pencil him in for a top 5

Can't see him being overly fussed. Sounds more like a sponsors jolly and so he won't be busting a gut. Top 5 for me. The only caveat might be if he really gets a hot round going and he shoots a silly number (60 or so) and then goes out to try and beat it the next day.
