Just watching Vino di Campo on his road trip around Sardinia and me and Missis T are reminiscing about our/ my drive around My Etna from Taormina to Catania. It was a glorious drive.

Anyone else done a good drive.

Sardinia looks like it's on me bucket list for a drive.

That's my second favourite drive Tashy, but we started above Taormina at castellamola. Our favourite is Sorrento to Amalfi. I'd also commend Mojacar to San Juan de Terreros, or Mojacar Pueblo to Sorbas.

Down both sides of Canada, from Calgary to Vancouver and Whistler and Montreal, Toronto to Ottawa and down to Niagara and back to Montreal

cape town to pretoria ,lots of scrubby desert.
oh and a wrong turn into soweto. which was a little disconcerting ,i did a handbrake turn in the middle of the road and scorched a trail out of town pdq.
i saw a policeman and as i slowed to speak he just pointed and that was the direction i took.
had my wife and my 18 month old daughter in the car with me at the time .

I drove non stop to the south of France once - including going through the centre of Paris around 7am because I thought it would be cool - with all the luggage so the rest of the family could go train/plane without having to worry about suitcases and we'd have a car while we we're there.

Not my finest hour.

Hobbit ave done Sorrento to Amalfi on the local bus twice and sod that for drivin.

When coming back from amalfi to Sorrento we pulled up at Positano. ( first stop) About 15 American students waited to get on the packed bus. The first guy gets on the bus followed by 3 or 4 others, he looks down the bus and could see it was standing only. He says in the campest voice you could imagine with the most foul mouth language you could imagine. When is the next effing bus due coz were not effing standing. it was embarrassing. the bus driver says "Venti minute", they get off and he drives off. He then said something in Italian and the bus erupted. I did not understand him and asked Lisa who was five rows backs what he said. she shouts, " he said, and that fuc*** will be full, and the next fuc*** will be full and the last one will be fuc**** full as well you ignorant t**t".
Me and Missis T were in bits.

one of my all time fave pizzas was in Amalfi overlooking the sea.

Redcar to Skinningrove for me😃

I didnt drive it, but in 2005 we stayed in Marmaris for a week for the European cup final. Unfortunately, all the internal flights were already full, and rail want an option, so we had to do 15 hours on the Turkish equivalent of the national express.

Well worth it though.

Rome down to Sorrento, along the coast was very nice.

Once did a drive from Rome to Monte Cassino, across to Anzio and back up to Rome. It was quite an emotional drive especially around Monte Casino.

It took you 5 years ? :D

It sure felt like 5 years, back in 1975 the only road across the Pyrenees had only 1 lane in each direction, with sheer drops on one side and solid rock on the other side . It was pretty scary driving a r/hand car, with large coaches and lorries whizzing by in the other direction, only missing us by inches. :(
Not suitable for Ruff Drivers
