i remember there being a big drop in frequency of trains when they were privatised.
when i first started commuting into the city, you didn't really have to worry about trains, you just rocked up at the station and there was one along almost every 10 mins.( thats what it seemed like anyway)
whole different story a few years later, you had to get there for specific times to have a chance of getting on one
