Rick Garg Funeral Today 2.40

Have to say there has been some fabulous tributes on Facebook too. Sounds like yesterday went as well as these things can and that so many people gathered to remember one of life's real gentlemen, each with their own touch of Rick to add to a very colourful tapestry

I ummed and ahhed about doing this last night, but the more I read it and the posts about Rick, the more appropriate it seems, so here goes. This was read out at Rick's celebration of life yesterday;

Feel No Guilt In Laughter

Feel no guilt in laughter, he'd know how much you care,
Feel no sorrow in a smile that he is not here to share.

You cannot grieve forever; he would not want you to.
He'd hope that you could carry on the way you always do.

So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,
The times you spent together, all the happiness you shared.

Let memories surround you, a word someone might say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day,

That brings him back so clearly as though he were still here,
And fills you with a feeling that he is always near.

For if you keep these moments, you will never be apart
And he will live forever locked safely in your heart.

Wonderful words. So apt especially the final two lines

I think we obeyed the first two lines telling Rick stories.

and I'm addressing the 3rd & 4th lines, I rang my club for the first time today since Rick's passing and booked myself into Saturday's comp, it's time to get back on the horse as they say.

Is right, Robin.

If he could speak to you now, he'd be saying "what are you doing you soft get, get out and have 18, and stop bloody moping around".
