Retirement

My wife subscribes to a few holiday sites that offer these types of deals. Drives me mad as we are currently not retired and so can not take advantage. When time is our own.......we will be all over them 😊
Yeah my Mrs gets loads of emails as signs up to everything.
Although not retired I can normally decide my own hours so if we have something we would like to do she just books it.

Also I can work from home if needed so whenever we go anywhere just chuck the laptop in the car and if we decide to stay longer or stop somewhere else it’s not a problem.

Although she is mad on gonks and apparently there is a shop in Mansfield she has to go to, not my first choice for a break to be honest but I’ve never been so might be amazing

Mansfield? Mansfield? I left the area at 16, didn’t go back often.

You do realise you have now ruined Mansfield for me 😂.

Maybe we will stay in Nottingham and visit Mansfield/Gonk shop
Imagine a place where the locals describe it as a 💩🕳️ but say it as if they're actually proud of the fact.
Now imagine having been born and raised there.
Nottingham's nice though.

take your clubs, Sherwood Forest GC is in Mansfield and well worth a visit.

Day4 and I'm finding it pretty good so far.
Getting stuff done without time constraints. Even grocery shopping is suddenly an experience to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace, rather than dashing around to just get it done.
And I've only played golf once.

I’m off on the sick until January, I must admit I enjoyed doing the grocery shopping . It’s been a nice little taster of the future

The 'shopping' thing that my wife has not yet appreciated about me - 4yrs in - is that I'm not bothered aimlessly wandering around a store as she looks for stuff.

I rarely have anything I could do with getting home to do - and if I do have something I have plenty of time and lots of days to do it.

I realise now that my impatience with shopping was largely driven by my desperate wish to be somewhere else doing something else as I felt my time was limited. These days it's not (well it's not quite so limited)
