Right,

I am baffled. I ended my golfing life 6 months ago after just getting tired of it. Work taking over etc etc.

After an inspiring masters, i rekindled my love of golf.

I rejoined my local club and spent 2 weeks just hitting wedges on our 3 hole practice course.

I had my first proper round today, and my stats were unreal. Hit every fairway. 14/18 GIR (Good for me) about 20 putts. And hit 76. Levelling my PB.

Now. Is this just me getting lucky or is it a new outlook that has done it for me.

Bear in mind I was playing with clubs that completely didnt fit me at all!

M'eh, whatever. I can't make it add up, but that's hardly what matters :)

Congrats on the round. However it's scored it's going to be a long time before I make a 76. Hopefully the bug stays with you. Imagine what you can do with clubs that fit.

I've found it not unusual to go out after a break and score really well, 6 months is not a great long break. Almost just being z fair weather golfer. The next couple of rounds will give you a better perspective but also spending a lot of time on wedge play will off knocked a lot of the rustiness off.

Great shooting congrats on a PB and good luck for the forthcoming season, :)

It just seemed to all work, maybe it was the lack of pressure to do well. Well I will see from my H/Cap over the next couple of months!

Thanks for the comments guys.
