Recording playing stats

Does anyone have a suggestion of a stats recording app or download. I tried one this morning that seemed ok but it wouldn't allow holes to be missed out, so in my Stableford yesterday where I blobbed it would not let me move on. It was good for the nature of missed shots ie long, short, right, left etc but also whilst the trial was free it was not free after 2 rounds a month were input

Have you tried "scoresaver 2" chris? not sure how it goes missing holes on s/f, but pretty sure you can... and its free!

I use Golfshot app.

GPS distances and log your score as you go. Also allows 'pick ups' in stableford mode.

I used to use the golf shoe lite version for stats only but it doesn't seem available anymore since a phone upgrade been trying to track a decent freebie app.

I have checked with the pro, and it follows through the process as a distance measurer only on my phone.
Therefore OK......

I know its a strange concept..

Most other players are looking at garmins on wrist watches and GPS kits strapped to the powercaddy or even good old fashioned course guides, but because mine is on an 'old' iphone its seen as some sort of crime..

Seriously though, I have checked and it is allowed.

Scoresaver 2 is pretty good especially as it is now free to download (although a voluntary contribution towards future development is requested but purely optional)

I'd really like to use the score saver but not available for the mac!

I use the golf shot lite app and quite often just do it when I get home. It's a bit basic but covers most of facts you need GIR/FIR/Putts etc. I would like a little more depth to cover the short game though.

I use the free version of GolfPad for andriod phones and it's pretty good, keeps your scorecard history and performance playing stats.

I use it to record my progress on the course.

With scoresaver you input the course and hole details and it prints out a scorecard which you mark as you go round
Fairways in reg left/right etc.
GIR short long left right, putts etc
You input everything into your PC after and it gives you all your stats and also tells you targets based on your handicap
Ie a 10 handicapper with 2 new hips should hit 35% GIR

Pretty sure Nike has a decent free app that lets you record your scoring, FIR, misses left and right, GIR and putting, I'm not sure if you can upload the data to a computer or owt but it lets you record incomplete rounds etc. Might be worth a look.
