Had a few problems with the long stick of late, for a variety of reasons, some of which have been cured with the help of our contributing pro :)

However, my current 9.5 deg is not really suited to my 'work-in-progress' swing nor the sudden return to heavy / soft fairways, i.e. there is no longer any significant run-out for the very low flight I am getting.

Sooooo I'm thinking of getting a 10.5 deg driver to give me a higher ball flight and more carry, don't really want to go the route of getting fitted and buying new at the moment (my swing is likely to keep on changing until the corrections are grooved) and will most likely go this route next season , or maybe even try the 9.5 deg again when the ground firms up next year.

Thinking of looking for a used driver now that all the major comps are over and giving it a go over the coming weeks.

Absolutey no idea or preference on brand, except not one of those horrible things that can be heard in the next County!

What's your thoughts or recommendations guys?

Think that weekend was the last time I hit the driver well all year (maybe it will come back with several layers, sub zero temperatures and horizontal rain? :D )

The thing is I've tried all sorts to get back on track and completely lost my way :(

Was getting, and leaving, all my weight on the back foot exaggerating the out to in swing path. Am now trying to keep my weight 50/50 and Bob has moved the ball forward to the correct position in the stance to allow time for the hips to clear. But this does result in a lower flight, it may come back again, hence not wanting to buy new (Yorkshireman you see lol)

I don't think buying a new driver for an extra degree makes any sense. the shaft has more effect on launch anyway, and can't you open the face of the TM R9 to add loft?

I would stick with the 3 wood if I was you, and don't buy anything new without trying it out, and preferably get fitted.

In my opinion, the K15 is absolutely hideous and I would give up golf before using one. It will certainly hit the ball high, as it is designed for duffers and people with no clubhead speed whatsoever.

Do those two statements not contradict one another?
Surely it depends on the shaft fitted rather than the clubhead?
A stiff, or low launching shaft on a K15 will see the ball launching low, even more so with no clubhead speed.

If your going to commit into buying a new driver, go and see your local pro, try a few see which one you like. I think drivers are much of a muchness where there all similar and it's which one you like the look of and hit well. I like the look of the R9 but can't hit it for toffee, ended up with a cobra S2 which I like the look of and out performed the others I tested.

I'm still waiting for the driver that adds 60 yards onto my drive..... I've been waiting ages and it never comes. :)

No, they don't.

On a given club changing the loft by 1 degree will have about, err, 1 degree difference in launch, but changing the shaft may have a greater impact.

Between different clubs, some launch a lot higher than others. Compare a 10.5 degree K15 with a Titleist 909D3, and even fitted with the same shaft, the Ping will launch a lot higher.

And go a lot further left.
