Recommend an SUV for a golfer

SUV's are great if you want an elevated driving position, but often have a compromised bootspace compared to an estate. Some find estate cars less attractive than SUVs, others the reverse.
If you're only basing it on looks, then only ypu cam make that decision.
The Peugeot 3008 and 5008 has a great boot space and is almost always overlooked. My parents love their 2008, but that may be a little small for your purposes.

Not a fan of estates (had a 335d Touring and got rid)… but, I’d have one of these 😁

3008 with just trolley (CT8....sits perfectly vertically under the parcel shelf) and then with clubs. Clubs would sit further in if i could be bothered to invert the wheels on the CT8!!

Minor thread hijack.
What’s your views on estate vs SUV?
My car is up for renewal in November and I’m not sure which way to go but I do know I need a bigger boot than my current Mazda CX 30.
Current favourites are VW Golf estate, Seat Leon estate and maybe a VW Tiguan or similar.

We have both. Wife has a QashQai and loves the "high-up" feeling. I have an Audi RS6 and it sits lower than the QQ. In terms of loading, space, ease, etc. its the Audi for me every day.

I still have the Citroen Cactus I used for work..
Trolley, bag (with woods and hybrids taken out), shoes, woods in at 45° and still room for the carry bag when it was debatable as to whether trolleys were allowed...
It really is a quality sized boot for the size of car....

I first came across a Cactus as a brand new hire car in Lanzarote years ago. It was really good!

i have the Octvia hatchback and is a great car for golf as the boot ius truly massive for size of car - as is the rearseat accomodation - it is boring, predicactable, reliable, cheap to run etc. My horsepower on past 3 cars has gone from 510 to 340 and now 150!!! But it suits needs and i don't have to worry if it gets a scratch etc. Its only real job is getting me to golf.

If MrsA wasn't such a car snob I'd trade in my VW Golf and get a Dacia Duster as our second car. She doesn't share my love of utilitarian motoring.
