My youngest daughter has a Seat Ateca, and the boot is no bigger if not smaller than my Mazda 3.
Our seniors captain has one and as you say, plenty big enough. He takes it to France every year with 3other guys and room for clubs and luggage.I had a mooch around some car dealers at the weekend, dropped into Toyota and had a look inside the RAV4, the boot was absolutely massive, very impressive.
I wish I'd known the sportback version existed before I bought my latest car . Effectively an A4 hatchback, 5 doors. Ideal for golf and looks the part as well still. Next car.............Just to throw a spanner (and midlife crisis) into the works, my A5 coupe takes a set of clubs and a trolley without any issue in the boot. I know it's not an SUV, but... it's a brilliant car!
The Sportback is good, but we decided we just didn't want the extra doors! Honestly, you'll love it!I wish I'd known the sportback version existed before I bought my latest car . Effectively an A4 hatchback, 5 doors. Ideal for golf and looks the part as well still. Next car.............
Mazda 6 estate ☹. It was a bit of a rush job, previous car, an old Mercedes E, was driven into, insurance decided to write it off and took the hire car away sharpish. I needed something quickly and to be fair you get a lot of car, second hand, for your money. The Sportback is good, but we decided we just didn't want the extra doors! Honestly, you'll love it!
Out of interest, what did you go for?
If you're coming to H4H, I'll be sure to park right next to you!Mazda 6 estate ☹. It does everything well but doesn't inspire for whatever reason. It's a real 7 out of 10 in every capacity but nothing quite hits an 8. I'm not a petrolhead so not looking for anything silly but I just haven't warmed to it. Can't put my finger on it .
Now I know the A5 is there I'm starting to dislike the Mazda quite irrationally now
I'm not going, but that did make me laugh . Fair play.If you're coming to H4H, I'll be sure to park right next to you!

Exactly, a nice car to boot!I've got a 67 plate Seat Leon hatch-back and can fit my clubs, Motocaddy trolley, battery and shoes all in the boot if I take out the longer clubs and lay them across the top, hardly a hassle.
No need for an SUV.

Best not look at the 8 series then
Not sure if you’re on Pistonheads or not, but a few years ago there was cracking lease deals on the 8 Series Coupe, I had one on order in Barcelona Blue but had to cancel as the oil rig I was on lost it’s contract and my job wasn’t certain so did the sensible thing
Ended up getting moved, still devastated to this day, would still love one
Ah, but then I'd be a BMW driverBest not look at the 8 series then
