7 iron and a grey TM label with details on, fakes also have them though so may not be enough to tell if they are real or not.

Where are you buying them from? Will help if the shop/site is known here.
My local driving range... Which actually didn't have any serial numbers on any of the 7 clubs.
im enquiring so I can get as much information so I look like I know what I'm doing.
thanx anyway

There will be a numer on every club, such as 13, 23 ect mine have 23 on every iron then the 7 iron has 23 plus a serial number next to it and a grey label on the shaft.

Some and some..
Pings (definitely) and Mizzy's (I think) serial number each club, Callaway tend to do the 8 iron unless you go through their Custom fitting when, apparently, you don't get a serial number at all....

One of my playing partners bought a set of TM MB irons on line. They were fakes but they had taken a real serial number and put it in the correct place. Serial number is no longer a guarantee of real clubs.

How did he notice? Was there a discernible difference, I've read somewhere that ebay generated about 5mill for counterfeiters. This is quite scary to be honest as people part with a lot of cash on there.

I'm wanting a new set later this year and guessing the only guarentee is a more expensive stockist.

It was picked up by a TM rep at the club that they were fakes.
