Hi Guys

Going down to south london next week and have some time to kill during the evening so planning on sticking the clubs in the boot and finding a range for 2 or 3 hours practice.
i believe there is 2 or 3 american golf stores at Kingston, New Malden, Bromley and a World of Golf in New Malden which i think is attached to the AG store, though I was a bit put off by £8.50 for 100 balls! Is that right?

Anyhow, can anyone sugest a good place to go not too far from Clapham.

New Malden is on the A3 or you could try World of Golf in Croydon (Addiscombe)

I think the AG does an unlimited balls option for £10. Im sure one of the more local folk will correct if im wrong.

Clapham is probably the least convenient place for a range in south London. But your best bet is likely to be the World of Golf on the A3 at New Malden. Not much in it as the crow flies, but probably a quicker journey than trying to get to WoG in Addiscombe

Bringing your clubs to South London?? Are you mad?? They'll get nicked!! :D

From Clapham you're nearest would probably be the driving range at Addiscombe or the Beverley driving range on the A3.

It won't be cheap though.

New Malden will have everything you need. Big AG shop and a nice big range too. £8.50 for 100 balls seems about right yea. Theyre always doing discounts too so ask about them at the till. Tell them you got an email and they should knock something off for you.

Shop staff are good too ive found.

I used to work at http://www.clgc.co.uk/ while at university. Train to Wandsworth Common and a 10 minute walk or two minute bus ride and you're there.

Nine hole course, range, putting green and chipping area. Only downside was the range is enclosed but still sufficient.

I would say give AG/World of Golf a miss at Long Lane Addiscombe, really bad balls that go nowhere and feel awful - its kinda on my doorstep but I never go there! New malden is better.

Sorry but Central London Golf Centre (clgc) is the absolute pits. Course is appalling and downright dangerous (too small/narrow) and driving range is so small its laughable. Its the size of a bowling green - since that is what it was before they put a net over it. If you want to practice golf, don't go there.

(Ps: Anyone want or need some hubcaps. I have plenty in stock..)
