OK. I've done a search first, read several pages, and am now totally confused. (Blame the Merlot :o)

Stableford format. Off the white stones.

Shotgun start. Can it be a qualifying comp?

Just for interest (if anyone cares that is) - Perfect weather, course in A1+condition, East Course Par 71, SSS 72, CSS 74. WTF???

I don't see any reason why a shotgun start means it cannot be a qualifying round. There is still a stipulated course even though it involves different starting points.

As for your CSS, a lot of people can still play badly in good conditions. ;)

fwiw we are also seeing some high CSS calculations, or high scoring (which leads to the latter) despite what appear to be excellent scoring conditions. can't really pin it down other than the rather variable conditions over the last 4 months when it comes to landing the ball everywhere on the course.

as has been said, shotgun as Q comp isn't a problem.

I have noticed a lot of the EGAT events CSS goes up, but suppose they are on top courses.
Booked in for Ganton in couple of 3 weeks so hopefully can find a game and maybe even get a sneaky little cut.
