Push trolleys

Forgot to mention in my earlier post, Stewart GUARANTEE that any bag will fit or your money back. I have used a Powakaady 3 and was not impressed, I have seen Motocaddy S1 and Clicgear and both do the job that is required.

i have posted before that COSCO have a cracking push trolley for sale at around the £60 mark, easy folding and looks very robust comes with wheel covers and brolly and drinks holders, and COSCO have a full money back or exchange policy on all goods you buy from them, even after a year so worth it.

Been having a look online at reviews and pictures of the different premium push carts available. For my own reasons and from what people have said on here I have come to the conclusion that it will have to be between the clic 3 or the Stewart Z3. I do like all the different accessories available for the clic, which is maybe putting it just ahead of the Z3.

I know people hate to admit mistakes and that their kit is not the best. Is there anyone who has bought either the clicgear 3.0 or the Z3 and wish that they had purchased the other. What was it that made you choose one over the other. Because both appear to tick the boxes that I am looking at:

Stylish
Very compact when folded
All the accessories that I would want, are available.
Right price
Lightweight
Will fit any bag

So to people who have either what was the defining thing that made you decide one over the other?

Clicgear... Bargain from ag in a sale

I have been looking for a push trolley myself and really like the look of the Clicgear 3.0 what is the diffeance with the 3.5?

was he using it right??? you put your bag on them .........

It was incredibly funny. He put the brake on at the top of a hill. The brake failed, the trolley started going down the hill, father in law grabs the trolley, both trolley and father in law end up in the lake. I didnt laugh much honest;)

Don't have any experience of the Stewart so can't compare... Had previously borrowed the use of a ClicGear and was suitably impressed enough to buy one... Lad has a Powakaddy3... Does the job but I don't feel it is as well made as my ClicGear...

I have seen the one in COSTCO [reccommended by 6inch] and may well have been tempted to purchase it had it been available at the time I got my ClicGear... Worth a consideration if you have access to COSTCO...

As far as I know, the 3.5 is due for release on 1st Feb, think they have changed the brake and made the cargo net bigger, after all if it ain't broke, don't fix it ;)

i am pondering the same purchase.

i used to have a clic gear 2.0 and found the folding of the front wheel a bit awkward. Everything else was fine. It was compact, but i had no cover, so did end up with a dirty boot. i managed to fit a variety of bags on it. I changed to a go kart electric and sold the 2.0. I am told the 3.0 has eliminated the front wheel issue. A mate uses the 3, and I do envy the little cargo net, handy to lob his mittens in or his head cover etc...

the z3, I just saw a comment on a customer review that didn't like the cover. He felt he had to turn the cart over to get the cover on and his boot got a bit mucky...

The yank forums are all getting excited about the clic 3.5 which is due out at any minute, so might be worth hanging on for a couple of weeks

I have no idea what the actual changes are but increasing the cargo net make huge sense - otoh I think they produced the one they did because it doesn't easily get in the way when closing the trolley up at the end of the round. If you have a few balls in it , and don't remove them (and who does every time) then they can prevent the frame folding properly - and a bigger net will add to that.
To a degree the add on drinks holder, if located, has the same issue and is better off removed before compacting.

I cannot think of anything else I would alter.

This is what I can find that has altered between the 3.0 and the 3.5:

Larger Storage Net (80% Larger)
Larger Adjustable Cup Holder
Improved Bag Strap System
Improved Umbrella Holder Storage Bracket
Improved Positive Lock Brake System

I might just wait for that to come out before taking the plunge, as the 3.0 may be getting given away as people will want the 3.5. I really just can't see which is the better trolley, the girlfriend says get the clicgear as it looks nicer. I must say it looks fantastic in green. Most people would say it is horrific but those that know me know that when it comes to golf the louder the better.......:whoo:

Turning into an interesting post as there appears to be a few looking for a new premium push trolley.

I like the black and green to be honest but might go with the white as a safer option

I bought a Clicgear 3.0 just before Christmas, but haven't had the chance to get out and use it because of the weather!! I went for the restrained Charcoal frame with bright Orange wheels.

My mate got a Stewart Z3 and, to be fair, there's not much between them although I think the Clicgear looks better with the larger front wheel and also looks a little more robust, IMHO.
