ProjectX vs xps300

Today I managed to get a sneaky range session after work with the new irons and I was quite surprised to find that just comparing 6i's alone I seem to be around 10yards shorter with the px6.0 flighted when compared with my older dynamite xps300's

Taylormade spec 6i 29*
Cally spec 6i 30*

Both shafts seem to be same length, and I wouldn't think that 1* would mean the difference with 10 yards...

Could it be that the PX are a tad too stiff?

Their flighted 6.0 so should play on par with the xps300 so I'm lead to believe
