Having been on here for a while and having read SM for even longer, I’ve decided what’s wrong with the average person commenting on the game.
People overstate the ability of the average tour player and massively understate the ability of the top players.

I’m really beginning to dislike Xander during this tournament. Getting dodgy drops and pushing the rules to the limit, basically standing around doing nothing for 2 minutes while waiting for the wind to change. Throw in the OCD thumb tapping on the driver, just hit the damn ball.

It’s almost like he knows Rory likes to play fast so he’s doing everything he can to slow the group down. It’s brutal to watch.

He stood over the ball for that last drive, I got up and went and put my empty cup on the kitchen sink and when I got back he was still tapping his thumb on the grip and hadn’t even hit the ball yet.

It’s absolutely killing my enjoyment of watching this. Even his approach shot he had a discussion with his caddy, walked up to the ball and then backed off to have another chat.

If I tried this crap in my Saturday morning 4 ball the other 3 would have left me behind and would be on another hole by now.

Been watching the coverage tonight. No matter what Rory does the Dame seems to be critical of him, is she actually Pinseeker?

Awesome stuff from Rory, holed some great putts. To go from 2 back to 5 in front... ... Schauffele has just been blown away.. Has lost it a bit with it effectively being matchplay. Putter has deserted him.. Rory for all his great driving and for a change putting, really needs to be nailing a few more shots from 150 in.. If he were to do that consistently then maybe he would get the major monkey off his back.
