He is perfect example of someone getting better despite not playing

He was a good tour player , destroyed Garcia in the Ryder Cup in 08 , won a few tour events and had a great single round at Augusta , was very much hyped as a player but certainly didn’t have the results to live up to the hype he has now

His swing was very nice , very smooth , a bit like Scott

He looked like him Fowler , Rory were going to be the next sort if generation to battle out for majors

Being out of any tour events for over a decade - it’s going to be interesting to see

Will need to pay the £10mil back from his insurance I believe
 
Said it before but I don't get the hype around Kim's return. I guess I wasn't watching match golf during his brief appearance in professional golf, but I also can't imagine he'll be threatening many podiums after 12 years away from golf. Admittedly would be a good story if he comes back and wins, but I can't see it.
 
Kim was a huge name because of several reasons; Nike, probably also as an Asian/American he had huge marketability, became a pro at a young age, huge potential… Finished top 10 in a few majors, a few wins etc… However he has definitely “improved” in peoples minds as a result of his time out of the game - it’s become a cult hero type thing.

Lots of rumours of him living in Vegas, being found in long high stakes poker games, appearance change, not playing golf at all, insurance payout etc.

Hard to get too excited about those 2 locations although im sure the competition will be great.

Then Miami and Adelaide which should be great with Augusta sandwiched in between.

Jeddah and Hong Kong does feel like the weakest 'swing' in the schedule, the standings should start to take a bit more shape after though.
 
You just have to look at the crowds on site

Woods group is rammed , there are 6/7 deep around the whole hole

That just shows the impact he has on the sport- there is no one who moves the needle more than him , he is the biggest draw in sport

It won’t be a surprise to see this event being the most watched golf event so far both on site and at home

Also great to see Woodland back there as well
 
Okay, this isn't strictly protocol, but it seemed wrong to interrupt the 'Tiger Woods thread' 😆

Low scoring day out in Malaysia. Puig & Horsefield managed to hold onto top 20. Steve Lewton was a shade better.
 
Kim was an exciting new prospect, he had that fearless, charging attitude to scoring that most young players have, but he backed it up on many occasions too with some great play.

There is a good field in that Asian Tour international series event, 2 million purse as well.

I want to see more of the other players as well please.

Viktor is leading and I just see him hitting putts 😡

Ludvig also on course, not seen him hit a shot yet, just the odd putt
