Little late posting, but given how Scheffler's year so far has been underwhelming compared to the highs if last year. Will be interesting to see if it's a Scheffler stripe show en route to a win, or if some rustiness still there

As you say, it's all about clubhead speed and contact.

I don't think its deliberately denigrating, but just how they, and many, justifiably I think as well, see Euro tour wins as second division wins. This is his first, premier league win so to speak, and a fair assessment to see it as that. Similar to Fleetwood - he is seen as the best golfer without a serious win.
