Just over half way through the season now and it looks like the title race and relegation places could be taken by anyone.

Being a West Brom (and like any other football fan) I am a little optomistic about my teams chances for the rest of the season. Having won our last 3 home games against Spurs, Man City & Boro and loaned two half decent strikers (especially Simpson from Arsenal) and being only 3 points off 12th place in the league relegation for the Baggies is looking a LITTLE less likely, however there is still a long way to go.

So here goes, Top 3 and Bottom 3:-

Man Utd
Chelsea
Liverpool

Sunderland or West Brom
Hull City
Stoke City

Until a few weeks ago, I was asking myself, how much do the top clubs want to LOSE the premiership? Some of the results have been, well, crazy. It seems as if Man U are getting their act together, and Liverpool are returning to the old style of making a decent job against the top teams (you can't always win?!) but losing to "inferior" clubs.
Some of us are old enough to remember the times when LFC would smash the big clubs more often than not, and then lose everytime to the likes of Norwich and WHU.

With only 1 point for a draw, any of the top teams could be out clear if they'd just scored a b***** goal or two in the dull 0-0 matches. I know Stoke are no push over, but after Liverpool managed to lose 2 points with a lacklustre effort and partly 2nd-string team....you have to ask if they are really trying.

f.w.i.w. I think Hull will be OK.

Hmmm. A few years ago, we had a good manager, and played good football and were "too good to go down..." And look where we are now! (Who are we? A bloke with a big gob used to manage us.) The end of the season has a habit of jumping up & biting you unawares. Harry needs to buck you up.

They are a club with an unusually big LOCAL fan base nothing more than that, when you go outside the city you don't find kids with Toon tops on in other cities/countries unlike say Man Ure,Liverpool,Celtic.A provincial club who could end up going the way another provincial club have gone....Leeds Utd.
