Does any1 else play poker online, or indeed live anywhere?

If so what site/s ?

I love playing MTT's. Usually limit myself to 4 or 5 a week but play two religiously most weeks;

£33 Sky Bounter Hunter on a Thursday night (SkyPoker)

$11 Sunday Storm on a Sunday (Pokerstars)

any1 else?

I still play a fair bit live (usually Aspers Northampton or Genting/G at Luton and sometimes DTD as well as a weekly local game), rarely play online these days, got a bit bored of it from a few years back when I was sponsored online and just played way too many hands in too short a period and it all became far too robotic. If I play online its usually the Sunday Million or Warm Up on stars or satellites to live events (GPS, GUKPT, UKIPTs, EPTs etc)

I attempted to qualify for the newcastle leg of UKIPT, but failed miserably! I couldnt justify the £770 buy in to the missus for some reason..?

Who were you sponsored by? During a drunken night round my aunties i once got her boyfriend to deposit a hundred quid into bet365, as i told him i could get it upto £500 playing cash on the iPoker network. The cash tables were slow, we were getting drunker, so ended up playin roulette..was gone after a few spins lol

was sponsored by badbeat for quite a while, but got fed up with giving up 40% of my winnings lol. One of my mates is at the last 2 tables at GPS Birmingham at the moment, hes just quit playing and gone back to working full time, 55k for the winner could see that decision reversed very quickly lol

Not a bad purse to win @ all!

Well i shall be on the starz tonight, sunday storm is a personal favourite of mine. Stacks of players, but if you bide your time, you soon find yourself in he cash , and the prizes available are silly for the buy in

My colleague is married to uk amateur poker champion Dave garden. Was mighty impressed when I found out he'd won. Didnt seem to get a sponsor though and afaik has stopped playing.

I have played online a bit won a few hundred on MTTs but lost way more.

I play in the monthly bingo free roll at G casino blackpool, I've not got the patience for live. Too much waiting

meh he finished 6th running TT into KK having earlier lost with Aces, picked up 11k so not all bad though

Used to play online quite often. Not done it much over the last 12 months though.

PKR
SkyBet
PokerStars
BetFair

They were the ones I used, amongst others. PKR was my favourite.

Prefer playing live though.

I don't really like playing poker online because I think that you lose something. There's a skill in eyeing up your competetors, working out if they're bluffing or not. With online poker you lose most of that, you can play purely with the numbers and percentages.

Which in essence makes it a much safer bet for guaranteeing profit.

I think that to play online, you need much more patience than around a table face to face.

True, but that's pretty dull. The buzz that you get from sitting around a table, listening to the craic and having a few jars is a lot more fun (to me) than taking from drunk 'merkins.

I play every Monday evening with 4 or 5 mates. £5 buy in and the game usually lasts over couple of hours. Then sometimes we then have an extra game for a £2 buy in.

I know that amount of money could sound excessive in today's economic climate, but that's how we roll. I'm just a financial anarchist, I am rock and roll, and if I lose up to £7 for an whole evening's entertainment then I just don't care. I live on the edge.

We obviously play for different reasons then haha. Don't get me wrong, if i'm having a game for a tenner with mates, and a few beers, then spot on.

But playing online, i'm all about turning 10 quid into 50, and then repeating the process either again that night, or the next night.

i use dto play online a fair bit and have the boys round for a kitchen table game for a tenner. never played properly live though.. used to do OK online.. betfair mainly..

Im the same

I play the MTT's purely as i know i have the game & patience for online stints

Limiting myself to 3 or 4 MTT's a week, i seem to play better

~that said, i finished 9,500th out of 42,000 last night in the S,Storm lol

Must try harder!!

I do love a good home game though, small stakes, beers and usually a PPV boxing card on the tele (unfortunatley none of my mates are into golf much so they wouldnt come over for a final round PGA event on a sunday evening)

Can I just say that I took them to the cleaners last night at my high rollers poker evening. So that's 30 of your English pounds burning a hole in my back pocket.

So suck on that Roman Abramovich, yea, not so rich now in comparison are you??? I'm so rich now I can nearly afford half a box of Pro V1s, from a pro shop, loadsamoney.....

You can set up private games on stars for sure, it relies on one person setting up a "room or club" everyone else joining it then you can run whatever games you want from there. Invariably having done this with other groups, its impossible to get a time to suit most and lots who say they will play dont

I think it sounds a good idea. But in reality when push comes to shove I probably will find something else to do.

God, you were right!!
