Ive been invited by the bro in law to play fleetwood gc tomorrow evening.

It's my first time one links course and as my driving is predominantly far right the same distance it goes forward I'm leaving driver and woods at hme and playing irons only.

I've just got a new 3 iron to try and get some extra distance and keep vaguely accurate

Any other tips?

Enjoy yourself!

Keep the ball lower if it's windy, bump and run it along the fairway to the greens and consider putting from anywhere near the green if the fairways will allow.

The great thing about links golf is that you can get round with a 5 iron off the tee almost if not better sometimes, than a driver. Keep it down the middle and you will be surprised how far it will go compared to normal parkland and still leave reachable greens.

:thup:UTTER TOSH,have at least 4 wedges, hit the ball high, only use the big dog from the tee unless your winning then hit your 3 wood into the crap, all the best from STEVE WILLIAMS
