Pitch marks

Very good attitude to have. No one should ever have to repair more than one pitch mark though as you should always repair your own....but that would be in the ideal world and we know people are just not like that. Myself I alwyas repair any I see as I walk across the green but I would never go looking for them as that will jsut hold up the course and make my group slow to get round.

for some reason i find my home course to be the worst for unrepaired pitchmarks.not sure why but it's really bad.you could spend a whole day repairing the pitchmarks.

i tend to do my own and maybe another 2 if i can see them.

I do all the ones on my part of the green that the old guys cant/dont repair. I used to think it was non members being lazy but I was advised that its the old folk who cant/dont bend down..... It is stagging how many people dont do it.

I do at least three including my own each visit to a green. Sometimes i am so manic about it i wonder if the time (not) spent lining up a put is being compromised with my obsession!

Not sure this is particularly an age issue is it?

There are inconsiderate golfers of all ages, as I think we have established MANY MANY times before :mmm:

I'll do a few while I'm waiting to putt... nearly all of them at the front of the green as so many club players underclub .... the grass is usually pristeen pin-high and beyond!

I have played for years with someone who does not repair his pitch marks. I started doing his when I walked on the green but that was when i thought he had just missed them. Then I realised that he never did any. I now point them out to him and he does them. If I don't say anything he forgets.
