Opinions on the G10 hybrid please.

I currently have a Hogan 21deg with reg graphite shaft that is too whippy for me, and tested same club in steel, the Ping, a Yonex and a Wilson today. The Wilson was an absolute shocker, and hit the yonex too low.

The pro said I was hitting the Ping better, but there wasn;t a lot in it between that and the steel shaft Hogan. However I love my G5 woods.

There were no Callaways to test, which I fancied as well.

Good buy?

Great club, but your not convinced so dont buy it.

Make sure you try all the ones you want before making any sort of decision, its your hard earned money that the Pro is trying to get. Try loads, also look at some "cheaper" brands as they have all the same componants. eg V2 shafts etc.

Agreed, would also try Cleveland Hi-Bore or Halo, Cobra Baffler and MD Eql. Have tried all of these and I would be happy with any of them in my bag. Currently loving my Orka Kii hybrid.

I've just started using a Callaway H3 20 degree. Good club, marginaly better than my MD EQL and much straighter (shaft and swing weight seem bang on for me). Can't think it would suit you in reg callaway RCH, pretty flexible (whippy) shaft i.m.o.

I was waiting for somebody else to bring up cobra for a change but I think the baffler is the best hybrid in golf.

Quite possibly....but most Cobra gear has heavier shafts and swing weights, so not suited to slower swing speeds. Definately worth a look for stronger players.

No, I use stiff shafts in my graphite clubs now after having my swing speed tested. But if in steel I use regular shafts. Hence considering asteel shafted Hogan straight swap for my current club.

I liked the Ping, but wasn't sure it was much better than the Hogan. It was American golf, so no Hogans or Callaways available.

Will hunt them out.

No one has a slower swing speed than me but I have two senior Cobra Baffler DWS hybrids They are my favorite clubs.
