Phone upgrade time

I have a S2 and it's great when it's working. But it's gone back twice now. Used to have a Nokia and that never went wrong, but it was very dull. Might be worth looking at the Nokia Lumias as Nokia finally have jumped onto the smart phone bandwagon and teamed up with Microsoft. But Nokia will go probably down the pan in the near future.

Samsung Galaxy Note2 here, had the original and it was brilliant, the 2 is equally as good but with better battery life, slow/high mo video capability (great for recording your swing), S-pen is more reactive and has a sharper screen. Dunno what a monthly contract will cost though.

I am avoiding iphone in future, mp4 for vids, itunes etc gets on my nerves. Going windows or android if I do get a phone as drag and drop and avi playback are what I want! Mind you I will still need itunes for my ipad grrrrr

Samsung S3 or Note 2 are brilliant phones depending on primary use. Note is on the very big side but great if you want to do more things. S3 is a relatively big screen but very slim. Sits nicely in the pocket. Failing that the S3 mini is the other option. I love the large screen on the S3 for watching youtube vids and netflix. Also the fact I have a samsung TV connected to my network means I can stream videos etc taken on my phone and watch them on the big screen. Quality of the cam is excellent.

Android has the advantage of being more open and flexible. Easy to customize layout etc and apps are generally cheaper than iphone/windows equivalents.

Iphone wins for ease of use out of the box but the android system doesn't have a steep learning curve so getting used to it is easy.

Windows phones to me just has a horrible layout. I hate windows 8, hate the new xbox dashboard and the windows phones. Hardware on recent models is excellent though.

You could always try and hold out for the samsung s4 rumored to release in April and may include the "unbreakable" screen.

I have the SIII, reckon its a great phone. Very happy with it, even though Vodafone have been a complete pain in the arse. Would gladly keep the phone, but change network if I could.

I'd go samsung S3, I've got the S2 and it's great. Having said that HTC are good, had the desire a while back and couldn't fault it. Never done the Iphone route yet, they seem overpriced and lock you in to their services.
