PGA Championship Thread - May have spoilers

His iron play is excellent, Sky had the pro tracer out on the range this morning and the kid was striping them every single time. I know you expect that from a tour pro but his swing was just so effortless.

He's not short off the tee either, outdriving Molinari's driver with his 3-wood!

Would have to agree. Ken on the Course has the air of a boffin about him. Surprised by Sky's rather blatant rip-off of BBC. Do quite like Radar in general though.

Is rolling a golf ball on a now copyright of the BBC?!

I said elsewhere I think the greens are terrible for the European Tour's flagship event, especially when you consider the area didn't really suffer from a heavy winter and has a massive team at their disposal. It really isn't good enough to have them that slow and bobbly and it either needs to be moved (unlikely) to get the grass growing and then cut and maintained properly or they need to have a serious review on how they present them going forward

I've just got home. What a day.:D:D

I was standing right behind him on the range when he was warming up. His swing is a thing of beauty to behold. Such an easy tempo, not quite Els smooth, but not far off. Just effortless, and he sends it out there miles.

You're just standing there watching him hit it in thinking "How the hell did it go that far."

Noren was warming up next to him and Noren's caddie looked like he was spending more time watching An hit balls than Noren !! :mmm:

What a great day. Started off following Manassero for a few holes, then jumped ahead and caught some of Luiten, before watching Quiros stripe a few. Then sat up at the green at 16 and saw some superb approach shots, none as good as Donaldson's on Saturday, but Rose hit a nice one, also had a MASSIVE following. We then worked our way up to the grandstand on 18 and watched every group from Storm-Colsaerts come in.

Great day, saw some fantastic golf, and some very poor golf. Witnessed the worst shot I've ever seen from a pro today. Bourdy was on the edge of the right bunker on the 1st, went to lob it over, caught too much grass behind the ball and duffed it 5 yards in front of him into the bunker, was very amateur! Other than that though, the standard was exceptional. The ball flight, the power, and the noise it makes when they hit a full-shot, and the control of spin with the wedges is magnificent to watch. Really shows how far my game is away from these boys, they're playing a different game. Much better than watching on TV, grandstand tickets a must!

I'm intrigued by that last bit Dan, I was there on Friday and I felt that the grandstand gave me the worst view of the day (although it was very nice to have a guaranteed seat after walking the course all day). Appreciate that final day it's going to be a lot more exciting but we found that when they play those long approach shots, you see the first 30 yards as it's rising but then lose it every time in the overcast sky, so we had to just stare at the green wondering where it would land.

Agree with everything else though! This was my first time and I'll definitely be back next year.

Sorry, I meant they're a must for the finish on Sunday. We had great seats, and it was awesome being able to wander up to the 18th as soon as we'd walked as much of the course as we wanted too. Had a superb view of the finish too, and the atmosphere was awesome when the big names came in, Miguel got a fantastic reception.

Yeah grandstand is a must for the final day to watch the final groups come in.

I've done it for the last 4 years and all seats have a good view.

Standing round the green they are about 10 deep so almost impossible to really see.
