PGA Championship Thread - May have spoilers

Classic just now.
On the 3rd Martin Kaymer had left his 2nd shot on the fairway about 10 yards short of the green, got out his putter and Radar Riley started on about how he should be chipping that rather than putting and how is his chipping going to improve if he insists on using his putter.

Only goes and holes it , big one in the eye for Radar :)

Well. Rory didn't get his head back in the game! Was hoping for him having a slightly off Friday as he has been known to do sometimes, then bounce back on the weekend with renewed vigour! Not his week. Lets hope he regains form for the Irish open.

Aside from Rory-fest though, some good names coming through at the midway point, look at Thongchai Jaidee surging away!

I lucked some free weekend tickets last night so I popped along today. Really enjoyed the day but sad to see how bumpy some of the putts were. Tomorrow should be an exciting conclusion.

Anyone go to Wentworth today? Looked like it was a belter of a day.

What is going on with Tommy Fleetwood's hair though?!

We had a lot of members marshalling and watching yesterday and they said the greens were shocking for such a show piece event and the European Tour flagship week. You'd think with all the green staff at Wentworth's disposal and a reasonably kind winter they'd have been able to do a better job.

I was there today, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Two things really took my breath away today;
1. They don't appear to hit the ball that hard, they just hit it that well ........................ they must do because it stays airborne for ages and they get such a gorgeous, piercing flight. Oh, and it makes a totally different noise to when I hit the ball. The actual ball striking of the players was awesome and, when they swing, there seems to be far fewer moving parts than when I swing! I think that's because all their parts move as one in a wonderfully fluid way, whereas all my parts move individually, in installments and in different directions!
2. Jesus Christ they're slow! I sort of expect it on the greens as that is where they make their score, but on the tees? Come on guys, be ready when it's your turn to play. Even on the fairways when some guys are 30yds apart, the guy going second waits until it's his turn before he even starts getting ready for his shot.
A fabulous day though, absolutely superb.

I was there today too, saw some great golf. Was behind Rose on the 1st Tee which was nice, got a great view of a Jamie Donaldson wedge on 14, and saw McDowell up-close hit an amazing 2nd shot into a par 5. The one thing that really stood out for me too was the noise. I've never made an iron make that noise off the face, it's amazing. The ball flight is also so, so nice. Piercing, but incredibly high. Really opened my eyes to just how good the guys are. Great day out, looking forward to tomorrow and being up in the grandstand on the 18th for the finish!

I went yesterday and had a grand day. Highlight was walking away from our viewing spot behind the second green, just before Big Mig came through :). And yes, don't them boys hit it easy?

Greens were very slow. And I have it from a very good source, the neither the players nor the Tour are happy about them, and that Wentworth will need to pull their socks up if they want to hang on to this event.

Some of Noren's approach shots have been sublime, peppered the flag a couple of times yesterday and just put his second about a foot from the pin on the 3rd

Lovely to watch

I'd be gutted if it was moved elsewhere. Friday was my first time at the event and it was really handy knowing how the course is laid out etc. Plus its nice and local to me!
