Lansdowne is hosting the Junior Ryder Cup in 2014 so should be in pristine condition. Blairgowrie has connections with the Red House Hotel and Balathie Hotel. http://www.theblairgowriegolfclub.co.uk/placestostay.php
I think Ramada Hotels have recently changed names.
Cheers Deke,
I usually play Alyth and Glenisa and Forfar with another group every year, your course is the best in the area, really enjoy it. Thanks for the offer i'll contact you nearer the time
What dates are you coming up? If it is the same time as the Ryder Cup, you'll be wasting your time trying to find accommodation anywhere near Perth.

We went up and stayed in log cabins 3 miles outside centre. All mod cons and well worth the candy

The other group i play with usually stay at the Red house, excellent hospitality, ideal location, i had suggested it to the group but they seem to prefer Perth as it's a bit more lively at night than Couper angus.
Perth struggles with some decent hotels probably Huntingtower Hotel is your best bet it's 15 mins away from MH, MH is actually a hotel so that's another option, cheap and cheerful there are three Travel lodge types, mid price Lovat,Queens and Waverly. All are dumps.
Lots of nice B&Bs on Dunkeld Road and Perth Road near Scone.
MH is my club it's in great condition the now but Lyndoch is a better challenge.
The Waverley hotel has been closed for a couple of years and laterly was for DSS and homeless!
