Peaked too early, ie before Blackmoor!

Well for the second weekend in a row I am a runner up, today's second round of the club championship was a brilliant one! Shot an 85, nett 72 to take the 2nd place nett prize on a total of 143 (one under par), 169 gross.

The nett winner also came from my 3 ball, he shot 71,71 off a 15 handicap to win the best nett and the division two masters trophies!

The quality of golf in my fourball was superb, we saw a total of 8 birdies, three of them being twos! The 5 handicapper with us shot three, the div2 masters/nett winner shot two himself and I added a further 3!

Would have been really nice to win one of the comps but 2nd feels like a great achievement, then to do it twice feels even better! I have also taken over £200 worth in prizes for the two combined!

Sadly/thankfully I have not been cut again, I remain on 12 but drop to 11.8 exact, that's a total of a 2.5 shot drop in just over 1 week!

I am really looking forward to thinning it round Blackmoor now, its a pity I peaked too early.

Not really, thankfully I paid for her taxi from work to the club and she got to see me receive my prize, get photo taken etc.

I think I will be forgiven in a few days or maybe a week. I told her I won over £200 for the two competitons but when I said I could only spend it in the club proshop she wasnt that impressed.

Great shooting - the new H/C is looking pretty close to single figures - won't be long at this rate.
