So, medal today, a hard fought 6 over par standing on the 16th tee, a 3,4,5 finish and it's back to single digits. Par in? been done before.

So how did I finish?

6, 5, 12. Solid.

Net 79, but buffer zone on 34 points stable ford.

Any one got any rope?

12? - OOB, water, shanks or a combo of all 3?

I took a 12 once, my worst ever score on any golf hole.

A 12 is always amusing! I hate it when you have holes like that! I just laugh when it happens to me! That comes after the ultra furious/angry phase! :D :D :D

You find yourself in a state of shock, your brain goes into meltdown when that kind of thing happens, it's like fate mocking you.
In the scheme of things it doesn't matter a jot of course but when it happens to any golfer who takes his game quite seriously it is pretty horrible to deal with.
18th is a sickener particularly.

I feel your pain.

I'm still haunted by the 11 I took on the last in the first round of the club championship a few years back. That after holing miles of putts and in with a good shout of qualifying for the second round for the first time (top 24 players). I failed of course but thanks to the net double bogey max rule I still got a cut which eased the pain a bit.

Sometimes you've just gotta love this game.

The silly thing is, I signed for a 12, but worked out in the club house that it was really an 11. Oops. That would have made all the difference.

No big deal, this part says it all to me...

Next time think birdie, par, birdie! Well played... feck the finish, you were obviously tired

NB: If you were wearing PINK you deserved a 12! :p

I could have easily finished with an 11, but I three stabbed it.

Yes, but better to finish off in style. Anything over a triple deserves at least 3 putts if you ask me.

The worse bit is there is nothing else you can do if you nous the 18th up. It isn't like you can hit a glory shot with a long iron at the next for a tap in birdie. Word of comfort - difficult. Word to sum the situation up - knob!
