Paired up

Coincidentally, look out for a debate on this very issue on our January issue hitting the shelves in the next few days. Will be interesting to see which way the vote goes on this when we put that up online shortly.

depends how the question is phrased and what answers options you have.

I think I can safely predict that...
no-one actively wants it enforced...
no-one really likes it......
everyone understands the commercial reason behind it....
a small percentage just love it as they meet new people or dont have golf buddies
if given a choice the majority would say no to being paired up
everyone should be told in advance of booking or playing to manage expectations

job done:cool:

I got paired up at Carnoustie a few years back. I was introduced to my two Japanese playing partners on the first tee who couldn't speak a word of English bar the word "YES"!

Rather frustrating and lonely day, waste of a greenfee if Im being honest and I wouldn't really be happy about doing it again.
