Anyone any knowledge of portable PA Systems? Mrs BiM has been tasked with obtaining one for work; two speakers, Bluetooth roaming microphones, portable, budget of £500. Any helpful pointers or suggestions appreciated.

I’ll check which ones we bought recently at work recently and get back to you.

They are pretty much as you describe, bought on a punt for outdoor events (they’re also battery powered) where the higher ups don’t like cables! A tad noisy, but fine.

this unit from CPC.

Is it pro quality? No. Is it the best thing you’ve ever heard? No.

Does it fairly replicate speech through the mics? Yes. Is it portable? Yes. Does it have Bluetooth? Yes.

For what they cost and what they offer, they’re an absolute steal.

Ask the guy that does the Karaoke in your local pub, I'm sure you could hire the system at a reasonable price.
Or just ask him for advice.
BTW, Crazyface is a karaoke presenter
