Opinions on Wilson Balls?

Liked the FG Tour but the just felt a bit "rubbery" and almost too soft.

Yep, that's what I thought. Bit like hitting a marshmallow, no feeling of the ball fizzing off the club face on full shots.

The best Wilson Ball was this...

Wilson balls are not for me.

Wilson balls are the best thing to happen to my game, I have 4 doz ad333's just sat in the box that I will not use anymore. Wilson dx2 0r dx3's for me now. at my handicap level they are great balls.

I think at the £10-£15 / dozen range they are probably the best, i would prefer to use them rather than Ad333's etc. the FG Tour are nice and good value but priced at a similar level to wht you can get Bridgestone Tour's for and they are not THAT good.

Just for the record, Bratty uses them for about 15 rounds so they look like they have been through the recycling plant a few times, hence the 'odd feel'.

Has anyone tried the FG Tour X out of interest?

Might get some of the FG Tour X to try, just wondered if anyone else had....?

i tried the fg tour X and its definatly a harder impact sound so might well suit you better, the softness of the feel makes putting with the standard fg's so much better imo.

the fg tour x's did have a finish problem, started cracking like an old painting, they should have fixed this now but there were alot of the old batch on ebay a little while ago.

Thanks Dave.

Might well give them a try, some of the reviews I saw did mention the issues with the finish, hopefully sorted now.

The FG tour is the best ball to putt with I've tried but just feels weird on full shots. No loss of distance or anything, just a mushy sort of feel.

Just bought 3 dozen dx3s at AG today, on a 3 for 2 offer. Total cost £36.
Had used dx2 balls last year and really rated them, so we will see how these go.

You won't be disappointed I don't think AMcC. Best value ball out there IMO. I really liked them and would/will happily use them again if the B330 offers ever run out!

Cheers.
One pound a ball is good, they seemed to perform well tonight on the 11 holes we played, but one of them had enough of me after 4 holes and got lost on the fifth lol. Down to 35!!!

I use the Dx2 in the winter and the Dx3 in the summer. Both fantastic balls and very, very good value.
My last lot was 3 dozen for £30 which is unbelievable.
I have no issue with their distance and I can get them to stop on the greens at my place.
I tried AD333s and found that around the green they flew off the club face and I had no real control. The Wilsons are excellent around the green.

Agreed, 100%. Plus, I can't putt with AD333s and their nitroglycerin dipped cover.....

Dx3 in the summer, Dx2 the rest of the year....

Noodles if I'm feeling wayward.....

Tried them last year as an end of season option. Just didnt like them, so went bck to Nike PD Softs as my winter ball of choice.
Now spring is here...ime to break out the Callaway Tour i (s) loooove those balls. A thinking man's ProV haha !
