Open weeks in Ireland

Just wondering for the Irish members in the south and west when their local open week is on would love to try some new courses. Wexford golf club's is currently running until Sunday.Thanks

I know that Rosslare run one too and it is an ambition of mine to play in it one day.

Or should I say week!

They are all listed on the GUI website. To be honest you could play a different course every day in an open singles or fourball event if you wanted to - for peanuts too!!

Shame England is so lacking in open competitions that aren't just for scratch golfers....

There is a GUI book generally availabe from all golf clubs at the beginning of the year setting out the open days/weeks at each club for the year.

Some clubs just run open days during the year. Our club run about 6 male and 6 female open days a year together with a few semi open days. we also run a few mixed team open days.
