Open shoulders at address help

Hi guys

I'm having a massive Robles if any can help please I'd be most grateful. Im having problems with my driver where typical I'll have slight fade and sometimes a wild slice. I play off 16 so average player but this is causing me problems. On the range I noticed that my shoulders were open at address. Can anyone help? Reading on Internet people say its grip related and too weak!? Can anyone advise on how I take a strong grip then please and also how right hand holds club too as it always feels uncomfortable.

Any change will feel uncomfortable.

Uncertainty as to whether that change is correct will make it doubly so.

You really need to either have a quick check up with a professional or take some accurate videos of your swing and post them in the ask the experts section.

There are loads of combinations that might be, and some that more probably are, but at the end it needs to be seen to be definitive.

Have to agree and professional advice would be the easiest (and probably quickest solution). You could do some work in front of the mirror to check the address position but I think it could stem from a number of reasons, grip being just one
 
Strengthening your grip means turning your hands to the right, but my non expert opinion is that it would only be a band aid if your problem is really open shoulders, and could lead to pulls and hooks.

A common problem causing open shoulders is reaching for the grip with your right hand because it has further to go to get to the grip than the left hand.

Try taking your left hand grip, then instead of reaching out to put your right hand on, try lowering your right shoulder to get your hand low enough to take your grip.
