Came across very well indeed.That's why I can never understand those who think he will struggle in his RC role espec with the press.He is a well educated guy who is excllent to listen to when interviewed.

I tell you what Keefg I always enjoy watching my golf on TV.
he(Monty)goes into quite a bit of detail, and like I said is doing a cracking job of commentating

I was watching today on the link that was post on here a few months ago and theres no commentary, does make it a little dull. But what a way to play your 500th tour event :D.

I watched a documentary on Clough last night on ITV and it was showing him as a panellist on Big Match etc. He just told it how it was and won him a huge following in his day. I think Monty could be a bit like Faldo in the US and a bit of a breath of fresh air by not being a corporate voice just describing the action but actually explaining why things happen and what a player is thinking.

I think its a solid move by Sky to get him in. I think he did a bit for the BBC a few years back (BMW I think) and he held is own. I'd be interested in what he had to say.

It has been said he is very intelegent and talks to the media very well indeed, I think he will do a cracking job for us at the RC and defo a media career awaits
