Are you hitting the opens up here or just playing courses socially? May tends to be a popular time for opens here and it's a good way to get a cheaper rate.

Bit of both. Got a mate at Goswick so get guest rate there, plus his reciprocals. Travelling with my wife, playing a mixed open at Dunstanburgh .. will fill in the others nearer the time.

Opens at Seacroft, The Cavendish, Beau Desert, Lindrick, Enville and Sickleholme.

Longer trips to Gleneagles and Portugal planned for later in the year.

Best start putting some money to one side.
Love Sickleholme , it’s got a great Par 3 over a valley full of shrubs and bushes . The Par 3 -18th isn’t too shabby either . Course always in good condition

Portugal (vilamoura area) in April, never been, cannot wait. The bi-annual golf trip abroad has turned into an annual trip, lovely.

And then 4 of us will go away for a weekend in August, venue tbc nearer the time. Hoping to be in bed no later than 2am this year!

It’s a bit of a hidden gem I’m told. And it’s the cheapest open I’ve booked for a while at £25. Really looking forward to it.

A couple and at present it’s enough.

Stoke by nayland in May - 2 rounds
Woodbridge & Ipswich in June - 2 rounds
H4H which normally involves a second round

I’ll get roped into a few work trips, defo a goodwood overnighter and possibly old thorns over nighter and the rumours of a 3 day in Portugal,

Me and my mates live in a village that’s on the train line that goes through and stops at
Bamford which is right next to the golf club . It was funny 12 lads with golf clubs and trolleys getting on the train at our local station to Bamford . A good drink was had by all !!

Will be doing a golf trip with friends for the 4th year running, in July, but currently looking at venues so not sure where yet. Might be Hellidon Lakes.

H4H in August of course.

Nothing else actually planned or booked in, but golf days will crop up as and when.

Hellidon Lakes, yes it has a swimming pool, gym and bowling alley, but the course itself is nothing special
